If you have a planning meeting or plan reassessment coming up and would like Abbeena to be your plan manager, simply let your NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) contact know. Ask them to list Abbeena as your participant-endorsed provider in your NDIS plan, and they’ll handle the rest.
The NDIA will allocate additional funding to cover our plan management fees, meaning there’s no cost to you. From there, you can start enjoying the freedom and benefits of being plan managed with Abbeena.

FAQ about plan mangement

How do I find an NDIS plan manager?

To access an NDIS Plan Manager, you’ll need to have plan management funding included in your NDIS plan. Here is a simple funding guide for you.
The good news is that all NDIS participants are eligible for plan management. If your current plan doesn’t include this funding and you’d like to be plan managed, simply contact the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) on 1800 800 110 and request for it to be added.

How much does NDIS plan management cost?

Plan management comes at no cost to you! The NDIS covers plan management fees from a dedicated budget category within your plan. This means you can access the support of a plan manager without reducing the funds available for your other supports.

What’s the difference between NDIS plan management, self management, and Agency management?

There are three ways you can manage your NDIS funding: Plan Management, Self-Management, or Agency Management. You have the flexibility to choose just one, or even combine two or three options to suit your needs.
Plan Management gives you extra support with your NDIS funding. Your plan manager will provide the tools, expertise, and systems to help you track spending and payments — without the stress of handling all the admin yourself.
With Self-Management, you (or your nominated representative) take full responsibility for managing your funds. This includes submitting claims to the NDIS, paying providers, keeping records, completing audits, and ensuring everything remains compliant.
If you choose Agency Management, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will pay providers directly and manage the financial side of your plan on your behalf.

How do I switch plan manager?

1. Notify your current plan managerSend your plan manager a written notice (usually by email) advising that you’d like to end their services. You can use this simple email template if you prefer. Be sure to ask them to confirm your release date.
2. Sign up with your new plan managerContact your new plan manager to begin the onboarding process. You’ll need to complete a few forms and observe a short notice period. If you choose us, we’ll guide you step by step to make the transition smooth and stress-free.
3. Endorse your new plan manager with the NDIA (PACE participants only)If you’re part of the new NDIS PACE system, you’ll also need to call the NDIA on 1800 800 110 to confirm (“endorse”) your new plan manager. Not sure if you’re in PACE? Don’t worry — as a PACE-ready provider, we can help you check and guide you through what to do next.
